Over the years, video surveillance technology has grown – or shrunk, as the case may be. Video cameras can be as small as a button, hidden in a vent, teddy bear or any number of places. As a NH , I have the chance to see and use a lot of this microscopic technology, but I also know the drawbacks. As concerned parents using nanny cams or just concerned individuals with some form of video surveillance, so should you.

Most video surveillance today is provided through the use of wireless technology. With wireless technology, the video feed, or recording, is transmitted to the hidden receiver by signals. At any point between the camera and the receiver, this transmission can be intercepted unless the form of surveillance is encrypted.  [click to continue…]
